This project aims at investigating the application of flying robots for constructing wound fiber-composite structures at full scale of architecture, detached from lab-like environment and placed into the real-world fabrication scenario.
The focus is on developing a prototype of an aerial construction system that could be deployed and used in various environments, outside of the lab-like space. It includes building custom quadrotor prototypes, developing a vehicle guidance system, implementing computer control and integration with design software, and performing experimental aerial winding with filament materials.
