The research project ‘Hygrogates‘ is focused on humidity-dependent material programming, structural stabilization through actuated entanglement, volumetric boost or compression as well as related form-finding processes.
This project provides a first attempt to program the entire construction process of an architectural building. The simple control parameters allow the designer to create complex architectural forms without high-tech machinery fabrication or production processes.
